Prayers for El Salvador Trip

hugo

We have a mission team going to El Salvador, July 30 – August 6.  We will do similar work to what our team did June of 2015.  If you would like to see a photo blog of that June trip click here:

El Salvador Medical Clinics

Please keep these 12 in your prayers:  Jim and Kathy Blevins (Scott City, FBC), Barry Doyle, Anna Miller (New Bethel), Mike Parry and the Norman family.  You can pray in a general way for the team’s safety, health, and clarity in sharing the Gospel.  You can pray specifically each day as follows:

  • Saturday, July 30, is a travel day.  Please pray for safety and that we might clear customs with our optical equipment and 1600 glasses we are bringing into the country.
  • Sunday, July 31, we will be leading worship at the church in El Triunfo.  In the afternoon we will be doing evangelism in the park.  We will be in two groups.  One will target adults with coffee, bread and conversations about the Gospel.  The other group will target children with balloon animals, games, and Bible stories.  Pray for our conversations!
  • Monday, August 1, we will be getting the word out about the upcoming medical/optical clinics.  Pray that there is openness to come to the clinics.
  • Tuesday, August 2, we will do a medical/optical clinic in the El Triunfo area.  We hope to meet the physical needs of people and share the Gospel with 200 people  Please pray!
  • Wednesday, August 3, we will do a 2nd medical/optical clinic in a 2nd community in the El Triunfo area.  We hope to meet the physical needs of people and share the Gospel with 200 people  Please pray!  At the end of the day, we will travel late to San Salvador.
  • Thursday, August 4, we will do a medical/optical clinic at Ciudad Obrera in the morning.  We will do a VBS for kids in the afternoon.  We could possibly see another 100 people in the clinic and 50 kids at VBS.  Please pray!
  • Friday, August 5, we will return to do a medical/optical clinic at Ciudad Obrera in the morning.  We will continue our 2-day VBS for kids in the afternoon.  We could possibly see another 100 people in the clinic and 50 kids at VBS. Please pray!
  • Saturday is a travel day.  Please pray for safety and for rest!

Pray for the El Salvadorians who are hosting this trip:  Dr. Hugo Rodriguez, Luis Romero, Fito Canterley and many others in two different El Salvadorian churches.
