This past month, a team from Fruitland Community Church and the Lighthouse of Southeast Missouri State University traveled to El Salvador for a nine-day mission trip.
This is the first of several blogs concerning our trip, but this one focuses on two medical clinics that we hosted in two different locations. We were able to see over 500 people in Jicarita and Ciudad Obrera combined. Our main doctors were Pastor Hugo (pictured below) and his wife Nora.
There were long lines!
Our team had several responsibilities. Some took the patient’s blood pressure.
Others’ would weigh patients:
We had one working in the Pharmacy with El Salvadorian volunteers:
Many of the team worked with the children of the parents:
Each patient went through the counseling area before going to the pharmacy. It’s here that our team shared the Gospel and/or prayed with over 500 people!
What a privilege to share The Great Physician in these two medical clinics! To God be the glory!
