Last week, six men from our church went to Roscommon, Michigan, on a construction mission trip to help build a building for Roscommon Baptist Church.
We joined 90 people from Alabama, South Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, and Missouri. What a team!
When we got there, we saw a concrete slab with one or two walls built.
Each day, we began at 5:45 am for prayer. We called on God’s strength and protection as well as sharing prayer requests each day.
It didn’t take long for a building to take shape.
There were men inside framing, pulling wire, and doing rough plumbing.
The group had a variety of skills. LOL
Fred and Tim became expert shingle cutters.
At the end of the 5th day, the outside of the building looked like this:
The hardest workers, may have been the kitchen crew that fixed 3 hot meals a day!
The building was bathed in prayer with Scriptures written on trusses and studs.
This is what the finished product will look like in a few months:
We learned once again that that the Chilton motto is true…
God is able!
For the Kingdom!
